Bookings and Visit Logs
Create care requests and bookings, chat with the other side, and log each visit.
Every visit — sitting, grooming, walking, daycare, training, vet transport, boarding — is a booking on a pet.
Creating a booking
- Pet owners open Home → Bookings → Create Care Request, pick the pet and the business workspace, and set the dates. Requests arrive as pending — the business approves or declines.
- Businesses open Bookings in their workspace → Book Client Slot, pick a shared pet, set dates, service type, and price.
Submitting the same request twice does not create duplicates — an identical pending request is recognized as the same one.
Booking statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Waiting for the other side to approve or decline |
| Approved | The request was accepted — a community booking is confirmed |
| Confirmed | A commercial visit both sides agreed to |
| Invoiced | The visit has been billed |
| Completed | The visit happened |
| Cancelled | Declined or cancelled by either side |
Only the care team — the assigned caregiver or a workspace member — can confirm, invoice, or complete a paid visit. Clients approve or cancel their own requests.
Chat
Select a booking to open its thread. Messages are delivered in real time to everyone who can see the booking — the pet owner, the assigned caregiver, and workspace members. No refresh needed.
Visit logs
During a booking, the caregiver posts a log per visit: treatments (fed, walked, medication given — the options match the service type), notes, and a photo. Clients see each entry in their portal the moment it's posted.
- Logs can only be added inside the booking window and not for cancelled bookings.
- A grooming booking tracks baths, nail trims, and ear cleaning; a sitting visit tracks feeding, walks, and medication — the treatment list follows the service type.
